O Canada!

My SFBE package #1 arrived! And while I've been anxiously awaiting it's arrival, in the end I'm not sure I was the most excited. First, my post man, we're friends with him. He started this route in the weeks between our move into this house, and the arrival of my first son. Almost 6 years later...my kids are upset when he has a day off and we get a replacement. Francisco's great about dividing the mail so that my 2 boys who wait in the driveway can each carry a handful of mail to mommy (yes I know my postman's name). Well, I had to sign for the package, and the kids were all out in the driveway riding razors anyways...so imagine the kids jumping up and down because they think the package is for them...and the postman freaked that I actually got a package from CANADA! And then I told him it was from a secret pal. So we're up to me plus my 3 plus the postman. Then I opened it. Something about coffee named after a Canadian hockey player...that pushed my husband over the edge. I think he's Canadian at heart. If I said "OK" then he'd be buying plane tickets so we could thank you personally. Seriously though, I don't do airplanes...so if I ever said "OK" to a flight, then he'd make sure we left before I changed my mind. All this to say THANK YOU! You made my day...and 5 others as well.

A contents roll call...for those excited about what's inside...and not just excited that the box came from CANADA!!!

Tim Horton's Coffee. Pure maple sugar candy. An OPI nail color "Paint Your Toron'toes Rose" I love it. This is exactly the color of my all time favorite lipstick! (notice the candy and nail color are missing already. I put the nail color away so 2 couldn't paint anything. And we shared the candy right after naps.) My toes are fresh painted already. Stephanie Pearl-McPhee's Knitting Rules! Which I've already started reading. Adorable stitch markers. Some Patons wool (did you all realize that it's Canadian too?) This color is more accurate than in the photo above. I LOVE IT!!! I don't think I've seen this before. At my Michael's they only carry some of the colors. And at my LYS they don't carry Patons at all.
And a pattern for a Lucy bag! I'm so excited to cast on for that. This made June 7th feel like my birthday all over again. Thank You Knit 2! km
