Did I Jinx Myself.

Kidwise:
So after talking about 4 and his "middle-child-slipping-into-the-background-no-photos-of-me" existence, he woke up 30 minutes later screaming. He couldn't turn his head or get out of bed himself. Wednesday was a scary day here. I rushed him to the Dr. and for now we're thinking it's a pulled/strained muscle in the neck. Either he slept wrong, or had an accident on his Razor that he's not talking about. He wears a helmet and knee pads...and he needs them. But if no one sees him fall, then he pretends it never happened. His first word was HAWK! As in Tony Hawk. And this kid's favorite TV show is Stunt Junkies. (So saying that I just gave myself away to my Spring Felted Bag Exchange spoilee...if she reads this...but at this point I don't care since we're so close to the reveal anyways...leave a comment if you see this so I know.) With the neck stiffness there's the meningitis scare...but he's not running a fever, or photophobic, or any of the other symptoms. But, I'm going to have to watch this one closer...because we did just have his hip x-rayed this spring. I guess this is what boys are all about.

Knitwise:
Tammy posted about all here WIP seeing the Dr/Dentist. I'll be there soon enough. For now my little ones need all my attention while we're waiting...so no knitting can be done to calm my frazzled nerves. And in the evenings, when I usually knit I've been painting doors.

A little story about my house...
Almost 3 years ago I pealed the wallpaper in the hall. M said, "you pealed it, you paint it" and about a week after I pealed it...I found out I was pregnant. I was sick until the day our little girl was born. The day after delivery I was so hungry...and I could eat without repercussions. Well, having a newborn isn't conducive to home-improvements...and life has come fast in the years since she arrived. I will not let the 3rd anniversary of pealed wallpaper come with no new paint on the walls. [I guess I should say that if it were just paint we'd be done ages ago, but we're putting a texture on the wall that gives the appearance of grasscloth. Because grasscloth is so cool, but not durable for high-traffic...and kids that are compelled to touch the wall as they walk down the hall. That's what happens when you have 2 architects in one house...not satisfied with just paint. And the previous owner had glued on base boards over the wallpaper so this is a bigger job than just paint anyways] M is on board now, because he's ready to cut holes in the ceiling for speakers. I said no holes until the hall is finished. Now we're moving. So, my knitting time is painting time this week. It's not often I go 2 days without picking up the needles. KM

It usually takes us a while to get things done around here, too. I'm looking forward to seeing your painting pictures!
