Sureal...

There's no other way to describe this week. Today, these were delivered to my house. Thanks MOPS ladies! And we've had 3 yummy dinners delivered. It's been great to have the support of family, our Sunday School class, my MOPS table, and our homeschool group as we try to regain equilibrium here.

Yesterday was the service at the Riverside National Cemetery. Here's a few photos of the day.

My Mom received the flag from the honor guard. She was so grateful to be holding 4 on her lap through the service. There's nothing like the cuddles of a little one to sustain a Nana's heart.

My hand placing 5 roses (for the 5 in my family) as a final good-bye.

My mom had chosen a "pine box" as that's what the woodworker in my dad would have wanted. And while this is "good-bye" for now. I am so grateful that I have the assurance we'll be reunited in heaven one day.

I'm glad that your friends are there to support you through this difficult time. I can understand why it would be very comforting to have one's grandson close.
