I knit this the week my dad was in the hospital. It was soothing to knit garter stitch, yet interesting enough because of the short rows. If you want to get practice with short rows, this is the way to do it. Even the bobbles were fun. Since my hair doesn't cover any of the back of my neck, I'll definitely need this for the winter. Even our mild California one is chilly when your neck is exposed like that.
