When I wasn't blogging...I made so much knitting progress all at once.
Hospital Knitting: Huckleberry Ascot.

I knit this with the Nashua Creative Focus Worsted in Carmin from Ursula (my FFBE pal). Its a gorgeous color. And as I was finishing up, I noticed its the exact color of a strip in my knitting chair. Maybe I should have knit a pillow for my chair...but I love the ascot. I think I'll keep it for myself. I know it would look good with my black wool coat. I don't know when it will be cold enough for all that here...but there's bound to be at least a few times I'll wear a coat. I ran out of yarn with about 40 stitches left to bind off. Ursula was so kind to mail me a few extra yards since she still had some in the same dye lot.
Morestripes: When I got on Ravelry, and saw all the finished Morestripes...I was so excited to finish mine. The back is done, and the front is at the part where I begin shaping for the steek. I really enjoy the 4 x 1 rib when I'm watching TV and wanting to veg. I've got just a few more inches before I start the armhole shaping. I'm so ready to wear this.
Fingerless Mitts:

When I went to wildfiber in Santa Monica, I bought some Koigo. One skein was for my FFBE pal, and with the other skein I started with some fingerless mitts. These are from Leigh Radford's One Skein book. The first mitt is done, and I've started the 2nd. I think I'm keeping these too. The colorway matches my Morestripes. That's pretty amazing since the Morestripes is 2 yarns striping together...and the Koigo just happened to include all those colors. I couldn't have planned it better.

Split Neck T-shirt: I'm adding shaping to this as I go...so I've ripped more than I've ever ripped in a project. I'm using one of my favorite 3/4 sleeve tees as a guide. The thing is, that tee flares out more at the hip...and I think that the sweater wants to fall straighter. I may have to rip back my 2 increases (about 15 rows) to lengthen the straight part between the decreases and increases. If I could figure out how to ask for help on that one on-line then I would. I don't want it to bell out too much and add to my widest part. I've kind of set this aside for a bit until I can make objective decisions.
Oh...and this came in the mail on Wednesday.
I had totally forgotten about the purchase. There was a Postal strike in England that resulted in a backlog of parcels. I had M purchase this since I don't have an ebay account. When I asked for the tiger yarn, he found a seller that 3 different Rainforest yarns for sale and bought the bundle. Miss Me knit these socks for her younger son. And I knew my boys would just LOVE 'orange kitty' socks. The Bangles are even their favorite football team these days. They like Tony Stewart better than Jimmy Johnson because of the orange car. Hopefully I can finish tiger socks for the boys by Christmas. I have to be okay with knitting 4 of the same sock. This could be so much worse than having 2nd sock syndrome.

All of your projects look great! I love the color of your ascot. Four socks of the same pattern and yarn - that will be challenging! :)
