I just hurt my daughters feelings...

I yelled at her. She thought she'd made her shirt FANCY. She had decorated herself with an entire book of stamps. How is a 4 yo supposed to know the difference? They look like stickers. You should have seen the look in her face. Yes...she should have not snuck into my cupboard and stole my stamps when she has her own stickers. But, I do need to find a way to bite my tongue and respond calmly.

Yup, been there. Hugs - being a mom is hard!

We're all human. And I must confess... I giggled. I hope they were prettier than the "forever" stamps I have.

Oh no. At least you can salvage them for reuse.

Someday, the two of you will look back and laugh at the moment... If she even remembers it. (my shining moment at her age was testing centrifugal force on mom's wine glasses... Which i'm now reminded of every time I serve wine with dinner).

Hopefully the rest of your night is more peaceful.

I have the same need...to bite my tongue and be slow to speech. At least you see it now. Sometimes it takes me a while to even see.

I am sure she'll forgive you and wrap her arms around you.

you ever notice every time a little kids is sad after getting into trouble, it's our fault for hurting their feelings. at least that is how it is at my house.
