Fushia

It's not quite Friday on the West Coast yet, but I'm going to get this up early for tomorrow. Here's my Friday Flower. I've been unable to be consistent this summer, but this is a really special flower. It's a Fushia. From my Gramp's backyard. I'm just home from Napa, and trying to get ready for the first day of school on Monday, so things are a little crazy. When I'm scattered, flowers make me feel centered.

My Gram taught us to pop open fushia bloom when they looked as if they would burst. It was such a joy watching my 3 at their Great-Gramp's house popping flowers as I have done so many times. I've got some special memories of our trip to share, and some almost FO's so I hope to be back to blogging. I've missed typing my thoughts.

Beautiful. Made MIL stop in her tracks. Of course, she knew precisely what it was...

While you've missed tying your thought, I've missed reading them. Welcome back, glad you had a good time...and welcome back to school(?)!

I love fushias! My mom always had them lining the patio. Nowadays they're too much work for her though. Dad's picking up the slack and has the rest of the massive backyard looking gorgeous. Hope to have some pics posted after next weekend. And hopefully it's still summer in Seattle LOL

Good to see you back! The remodel is looking really good - almost there!

I love fushia! They don't do well for me in my sunny backyard though.
