Today we got some bad news about the job that was all but offered last week. The company is planning on filling more than one position...and now they want to interview 4 more next week before making their final decision. It turns out that one of those interviewing is one of M's old co-workers, one of the 4 laid-off. By the time they finish those interviews, that would mean that we don't hear anything for at least another week...probably 2. We can't wait that long. M has continued to send out resumes...but still no more interviews lined up.
I know that many of you are praying. I just wanted to give you some specifics.

that M stays encouraged.

for us to grow together as a family, even when this situation makes tensions high.

Father - and I am so glad You are our Father - You know the needs of this family. You know they are tired of waiting. You know M has been trying hard and that this news is discouraging. But this news is not a surprise to You. You are not shocked by it, and I know You have not been knocked off Your throne. You are not sitting in heaven, wringing Your hands, wondering what job might possibly be available for M. I know You are not fretting about how You will provide for this family.
Father, I am asking You to encourage them - all of them - and to show them Your faithfulness. Please help them to trust that You will provide the right job, at the right time. Glorify Yourself through this situation, Lord.
And please hold K and M and their children close to Your heart.
I'm asking it all in the powerful name of JESUS.
